It is not, not ever, 'Different to'.
It is always 'Different from'.
It is just about acceptable to use the US 'Different than', but it is bad English.
Things diverge from each other, thus the from. They never diverge towards each other, so to is incorrect.
Things are 'Similar to', and you would never consider saying 'Similar from', so why the blistering blue blazes do you say 'Different to'?
