The Lisbon Treaty and Foreign Policy and Hypocrisy

UK power has now devolved to Brussels. President 'unelect' Blair is heading for another hugely high profile chance to feather his nest. Brussels may now tell us, because it's Lisbon Treaty Foreign Policy where to send our troops.

Gordon Brown lied as usual when he promised a referendum. His moral compass must allow lies. I bet he still wears a poppy to show how much he cares about our wounded servicemen.

There's a disconnect here. If we can no longer decide foreign policy we can no longer decide to fight or not to fight. We no longer decide if our servicemen are risked or not. So our MPs can't legitimately wear the poppy, can they?

And Blair? The man who went to war, but not in my name?

Ah yes. He's a hero, a wonderful man. His little Christians against Muslims war has been hugely successful for him, hasn't it?  Not that my world is now safer because of it.

Consign him, Brown and Bush to the dustbin of history.  Better yet, give them unpaid community service in Iraq as a sentence.
